Most things real programmers do in their careers involve the web in some way, shape or form. Whether front end or back end programmers, coders are currently revolutionizing the way programming works and the speed at which this exciting field is growing. With all this excitement in mind, this class gives students a great jump forward into this web based world by teaching them to build a site of their liking from the ground up using HTML5, CSS3, and Javascript. Students leave with a real site that looks great and furthermore, with skills that they can use to build upon and build other sites from home.

The most complex thing students will do is code in Javascript. Javascript is responsible for all the movement that their site will exhibit. Most programmers will tell you Javascript is the way an enormous amount of programming is trending right now, as recent changes have made it much more accessible and versatile as a language. We therefore spend about 2 days focusing on building students' skills in this very important language.

Students enjoy 2 outside breaks with highly supervised and highly fun outdoor activities in the park across the street. Bring your own lunch. Snacks and drinks provided.
